The cows in this tale are an unusual bunch – they can type and are on strike! What will these clever cows ask in their letters to Farmer Brown? A new musical comedy by Theatreworks USA about the power of compromise based on Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin’s award-winning book. The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon, Enchantment Theatre Company (USA)

In this magical, musical adaptation of the well-known book series by Crockett Johnson, Harold journeys through the world that he creates with nothing but his big purple crayon and his imagination. Pigeon Party starring Mo Willems’ Pigeon, Big Wooden Horse Theatre Company (UK)

Best for ages 3+


Cramming all of the excitement of the first three Pigeon books by Mo Willems into one lively party, this performance is full of fun and laughter featuring our favorite feathered friend.  Featuring original music and audience participation, you get to decide if Pigeon

Henry and Mudge, Theatreworks USA

Henry discovers that having a pet takes a lot of responsibility—but all the hard work is worth it because Mudge is his best friend.  In this musical based on Cynthia Rylant’s award-winning books, Henry and Mudge embark on adventures together and discover that they will always be there for each other. Children’s Theater events take place at locations throughout the region.

Theater Etiquette

  

  • Students should dress appropriately. Shorts, baseball hats, skullcaps and athletic gear are not appropriate attire for theater.
  • All chaperones are to stay with their groups throughout the entire performance. Chaperones should be seated so that they may see all the children. Van and bus drivers should not be considered chaperones.
  • Your group must be seated at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Should your group arrive late, it may be necessary to remain in the lobby until the ushers feel it is appropriate to seat your group.
  • Do not bring food or drinks into the theatre.
  • Students should be courteous patrons. No talking or whispering during the performance.
  • Keep your feet on the floor, not on the seat or balcony in front of you. Do not switch seats.
  • No backpacks, book bags, CD players, iPods or electronic games are permitted in theaters.
  • Electronic watches, pagers and cellular phones must be turned off.
  • Bathroom breaks should take place before the performance or during intermission.
