The Ortner-Roberts Trio (Susanne Ortner-Roberts, clarinet - Tom Roberts, piano - Tom Elrick, drums) will perform the music of Benny Goodman and legendary small groups of Swing.

The international duo of Susanne Ortner-Roberts and Tom Roberts draw their inspiration as well as their repertoire from a myriad of diverse sources from around the world. Originally focusing on a unique fusion of clarinet and Harlem stride piano the two soon expanded in other directions incorporating swing, calypso, gypsy music, tango and the French musette in inventive genre-blending arrangments, and thereby discovering the root of roots-music.

The Ortner-Roberts Duo stretch the boundary of the seemingly limited Duo-Format. This is accomplished by Tom´s use of the orchestral techniques derived from Harlem stride piano, coupled with Susanne´s rich and expressive sound, amazing range, and effortless virtuosity.
