Guitarist Jim Farquar has been performing on the national scene after making a name for himself on the east coast and Chicago. Performing at stage and club dates as both leader and side man, Jim has also toured internationally as a clinician/lecturer in conjunction with companies including Tascam, Inc., Fender, Cronin Archtops, Yamaha Guitars and institutions such as the Berklee College of Music, Duquesne University and College of St. Catherine's. He recently released a critically acclaimed CD entitled "Random Elements" and is in the process of recording his new CD "Wide Horizons" Jim has a long list of notable performances including such artists as Max Roach, Herb Ellis, Alejo Poveda, Stu Hamm, Henry Johnson and many others. Jim has over twenty five years of experience and has performed extensively throughout the United States and Canada. Jim has also headlined the Mellon Jazz Festival. Recent highlights include appearances in Chicago, Nashville, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Boston and New York.
